Practical Guide to Safety

When choosing an area for your fireworks display, space is crucial. The area must be large enough not only for the fireworks but also an area where the spectators will stand, a safety area between the spectators and the fireworks, a fallout area where firework debris will fall and an area for a bonfire if one is required. The area may also have to accommodate a parking area if none other is available.

The potential site should be away from areas where private property may get damaged, i.e. houses, cars, industrial areas. Large open parks, fields, football grounds etc., are ideal for fireworks and the area should also have short grass.
